If a small is a medium, a medium a large, and a large a biggie, where in the world did the small go?

That’s the question I’ve been pondering after eating at several fast food joints.

Apparently, the soft drink formerly known as a small is being phased out. I’ve noticed this trend at Wendy’s and Arby’s after I ordered combo meals, did not have them “large sized,” yet still received a large drink.

Only in America.

Now you can feel like you stuck to your diet by ordering a small drink, but still get what used t0 be a large size (a “Biggie” is now a large). And for the same price as before. A win win scenario, right? All it takes is a few subtle word changes and no one has to feel fat.

And what happened to the (original) small? Gone. Just like dodo birds and trim waist lines.
