While you may find it less expensive in other countries to receive health care and education, it is also much more difficult to obtain both. It takes weeks to see a physician for anything other than an emergency. And the average college student in France is unable to have a job or participate in outside organizations due to the outrageous class load you are required to take. The cost of higher education falls to the family with little to no government aid. Does anyone remember the student riots? Obviously there are problems in both systems. We should not just follow blindly into socialism, but work with new ways to help our country.
